Hi guys,
Well I bought the Pit Bulls yesterday and am in the process of removing the rear wheel. I also have the service manual on CD for this bike but want to know if I really need to remove the belt tensioner to get the belt loosened enough to get it off the wheel? I remember removing the belt tensioner once in the past and it was a major PITA to get reinstalled! Before I pull the axle do I really need to remove the tensioner? And if so, should I just remove the bolt in the center of the wheel or remove the entire bracket from the 2 forward bolts?
Thanks!

Loossen pinch bolts and then remove axle. Should not have to remove idler pulley. Dont forget to put just a little anti-sieze on the axle when you put her back in.

Thanks Barker,
That's what I was hoping to hear! I already have loosened the pinch bolt and have the axle most of the way backed out, but before I completely removed it I wanted to be sure I could get it back in! LOL!
I'll give it a shot, thanks!

Be sure to gently slide out (laterally) the belt from the rear cog and vice versa when installing the wheel. Move the wheel fully forward after the axle has been fully removed. You can also remove the air - that will allow you to move the wheel a bit more forwardly. The belt should slide out pretty easily. What ever you do, don't twist the belt.
