I used to get excited, then I always felt let down. So I will wait and see before getting excited. Although there does seem to be a profound disinterest this year amoungst most. Curious.

I forget the thread name. Best bet seems to be an XB12Rs Firebolt Long model. MAYBE some kind of trickle-down tech from the XBRR, but nothing earth shattering yet. Oh, and Bold! New! Graphics!! of course.

With three new bikes in the last 12 months I don't really see much chance for new bikes this year. A "long" Firebolt isn't much of a stretch to expect, and/or maybe a "9" version of the Uly. Otherwise I think we will see small refinements along the lines of the new oil pump gear that came out last year, etc. Probably new colors since they didn't change that much last year. I'm not expecting anything super-duper exciting though.

I was happy enough when they put a 1200 into a Firebolt.

A Uly "9" doesn't make much sense. The offroad part of the equation demands down low, stump-yanking torque, whereas the oversquare "9" engine is more of a high-end powerplant.

Of course, I didn't think a belt-drive on an offroad bike made much sense either, and yet here we are...

I'm thinking new heads w/ dual throat throttle bodies and the necessary changes to make them work. Probably an engine that looks more like the "RR" engine (that cam cover on the "RR" looks decidedly "market finished" to me. I'm thinking we'll see the ZTL2. Probably other bits/bobs from the RR to make the production of RR parts less expensive.

All I'm CERTAIN of is that the new stuff will be BOTH cosmetic AND functional...
