Hi all. New to the board. I have a 2005 xb9sx on which the neutral light fades on while under acceleration. what I mean by this is when off throttle it remains off but when throttle is applied it goes from weak to bright increasing with increased throttle. It does this in all gears. It never gets as bright as true neutral but annoying. Is it a loose wire, bad neutral light switch, bad ground? Any thoughts. thanks.

I would suspect a chafed wire shorting to ground, look over your harness very closely. Being an 05 it should be under warranty, let the dealer handle it. My 03 xb9s was giving me some driveability problems (bucking, backfiring, lack of power) on hard acceleration, I found the wire harness from my ecm rubbing on the ground terminal of the battery. Hope this helps.
