I got my select a few days ago. Not sure if I would recommend it. I have not sat on a Corbin. I did sit on the seat thats on the City X...Much more comfortable. Before you by a Corbin go and sit on a city X. Might save you some greenbacks. Also, looking at that pic above, how would a pax enjoy riding on the back?

I have a City X....

Love the height but when you get down on it you sometimes slide back a bit...

My 03's 9s seat shoves your marbles into the tank and you have to keep sliding back. I have an extra seat and I think I am gonna spray adhesive some extra padding onto it, shave it and take it to a local uhpholsterer to have it recovered right over the factory cover.

Snakedriver - Why would you not recommend the select seat?

I have one on order from Daves so just wondering.

I have both the Select and the CityX seat for my xb9s. I use the CityX seat every so often for two-up riding due to its flat surface. The Select seat is a better seat for me for longer halls as the gel saddle seems not to hurt my back side like most other seats do. I don't know a thing about the Corbin , only that in my eyes it is one ugly looking seat............

Buckstar- Im just not sure if the $200 is worth it.

The select is more comfortable that the stock (04 XB12S)seat. I would really like to try a Corbin.

I really didnt look at the stock seat next to the select but my girl kept sliding fwd. pushing my unit into the tank.

Im surprised Percyco's post reads the way it does. When I sat on the 06 City X I thought that it was every bit as comfortable as the select. I assume that the MSRP for the City X is cheaper than the select. I would try them all if I could, knowing what I know now.

Ergonomics is a fascinating thing!

i love my Select seat.. . i never have a passenger though. its not a couch and its not a wooden slab. perfect for me.

if you're interested in one, pick it up through DaveS. $179.95. worth every penny (to me)

I've heard that there are issues with the glue in the V section. So my vote Still goes toward the Streetfighter over the Select seat.

Some has mentioned there might have been some changes to the late 2006 seats VS 05 & 04

CityX seats are on Ebay all the time, I paid $30.00 for mine and it's just like new ! It would be a cheap way to go if you want to try the CityX route .

i highly recommend the corbin seat. it is a little wider up front so it seems taller as far as putting your feet down but it is waaaayy more comfortable. i can ride for hours with no problems. the stock seat would hurt after about 30 mins. GET THE CORBIN SEAT. ITS WELL WORTH THE MONEY. DONT BE A CHEAP SKATE!!!!

Is the Corbin good for two up riding? That hump looks like it would kill the passenger room.

The corbin in that pick is not. I had it. It is pretty darn awesome for the rider tho. Really locks you in place.
