Hi everyone;
Woke up this morning, put my Sidi's on, grabbed my jacket and lid, went down the stairs of my apartment, came around the corner.....

A wierd sense of "wait a minute" and nothing but pavement where my bike was..

I am up in Canada, but the Buells are so rare up here my guess would be that it'll prob make its way on ebay or across the border...so keep your eyes out for a 2004 XB12S last digits of the VIN 8284

Dude, THAT SUCKS. It makes me sick just thinking about finding that. I will keep my eyes open. Good luck in recovering your ride.

We'll keep a watch out for it.

Are you a member of BRAG? They do a reward for the return of stolen bikes.

Bikes are pretty much destined to be stolen outside of an apt. I've heard so many stories of that kind of theft. Hope you get it back. Good luck.

Now that just sucks. I notice any Buell I see (as you say, they are rare here in Canada--even more rare in my little part of it)--if I ever see a red XB12S, I'll try to find out who's riding it.

i feel ur pain man....mine sits outside my apt too a week after i bought it some assclown tried to shove a screwdriver in the ignition all they managed to do was wreck the key hole so after a week of having my new bike it went right back to the dealer for a new part....never did get my hands on the $%^&&#@#!@!Q@$%$% ##%$^^&&$#! now its chained front and back and is covered with a nice noisy tarp and bungees and leans against my car with the alarm on ..what a pain in the arse..parked it inside for a while but got in trouble for keeping a fire hazard in my apt. so now i go through a 15 minute ritual every night just so i can get to work the next day....i keep my paintball gun locked and loaded right next to the bed ...hopin to paint some putz up one side and down the other just so i can call the cops and tellem theres some blue doofass runnin down the street ya'll might wanna help him out he sounded unhappy when he left my parking lot.

yeah i dont wanna kill anyone but if uve ever been painted when ur not wearing the right gear...it hurts like hell..i can throw about 17 balls per second ..thats a lot of paint...seriously i felt so violated thinking some asshat was sitting on my bike and i was sleeping....every day i get up first thing i do is look outside to see if my bikes still there..it sucks....and now..tis the season ...thats why i use a cheap tarp i had a nice cover on it but it was too nice i couldnt hear it being taken off...but the 5 dollar blue tarp everybody can hear it come off...i used to slam it in the car door at night but the girlfriend tends to forget things like that and took off with the cover in the car door one morning....so i skip that step now....but im damn ready to paint someone...i like my mickey mouse booby traps..wish i could surround it with claymores.

lets face it - MEAN PEOPLE SUCK! Just when I think I'm too hard on my daughter, I look around and see how other children behave, and think no I'm not too hard on her. She's not going to turn out to be one of the punk a$$ adults because she had no boundaries as a child. I'm her parent, not her friend.

My husband said that it should be legal to shoot paint pellets to people in cars that do stupid things, left lane bandits, so signals, cut people off, etc. After so many shots, no more driving for you!

I hope the guy who stole your bike crashes and gets hurt real bad. Would wreck your bike but his pain and suffering would be well worth it.

So if someone tries to register a bike that has been stolen, say in a different state (US or Canada) will the Dept of Motor Vehicles catch that vin as stolen?

Edit: Don't beat up on the owner too bad, he may not be the thief, but he unknowing bought a stolen bike.

I would keep doing searches on Ebay for parts he'd likely be peddling - good chance he'd just part it out rather than risk getting caught via VIN#. Good luck

ya rhun u can buy claymores full of paintballs a real one would be great but would kinda defeat the purpose ....pieces of dirtbag everywhere but pieces of buell too ...paintball stuff washes out easy.....they make paint grenades too.....i think il trip wire one up to the bike....for a while after the a$$h@%* tried to steal bike i got some plumbers tape and screwed the barrel down to the window frame stickin out the the screen targeted it and laid some paint down on the tarp..all i ad to do was hear the tarp commin off and someone was gona get a suuuprise..i got he idea from a friend who woke up one night and saw two guys trying to get tools out of the back of his truck and all he could think of was...paintball gun...he plays a lot and has a really mean a$$ gun....he said it was the most fun he's had in a long time the look on their faces and the yelps of pain were priceless...sorry i miised that...he called the cops and told them what happend...they were still laughing when they caught the two guys.

go find a local farm supply: they make a NICE little device to stop cattle rubbing up against farm equipment - uses a big capacitor, and works like an electric fence, using the body (frame) of the vehicle as the conductor.

all you'd have to do after an attempted theft is go looking for the guy with his hair standing straight up, nursing a pair of roast nads.

Re:
Sadly though if the guy's pace-maker malfunctioned from the shock and he dropped dead you'd be liable - just like the ol' shotgun rigged to the window deal - gotta love the american legal system!!
