have an '03 9r with race ecm, race air cleaner, tfi, and force exhaust. I think the exhaust is causing all the problems with my bike (lots of hesitation, backfire). Thinking about going with the D&D twin can and using the force header. Ideas would be great
thanks,dave

I recently made a number of large changes as well and from what I saw Al capable of with the direct link software, I wouldn't be so quick to blame your exhaust system. The race ECM is only the start of getting the fuel mapping correct. I installed the full Micron system and a new intake along with the race ECM and after hooking up to a scanner, we found the AFV sitting at 82% (ideal is 100%). After making a few test runs and adjustments Al got mine to 100%, now the bike launches like never before with no hesitation at all. I don't mean to change your mind if you have your heart set on a D&D, this is just another route to look down.

oops, was refering to Al at American Sport Bike.

Pretty sure we can get you squared away.
You'll need to buy the Direct Link tuning key and pay for about 4 hours or so of Dyno time.

How much is it for dyno time. the only reason I ask is cause add to the price of the gas in my truck at $200 it might be better to try a different pipe first.
