Anybody out there have problems with the XB9S blowing the accessory fuse? I've started disconnecting turn signals, etc. with no luck so far. Thanks, Keith |

Skully, Look at the small bulb socket on the back side of the headlights. Look for bare wires exiting that socket. |

Mr. Anonymous, I owe you a beverage of your choice! It was exactly as you said. One of the wires running to the small bulb socket was rubbing on a bolt on the steering head and would short depending on where the handlebars were pointing. Interestingly enough, it was caused by the bulb socket no longer being plugged into the headlight housing. All XB9S owners will want to check this. Thanks again, Keith |

Mr. Anonymous, What is that little bulb socket for anyway? There is obviously a place in the headlight assembly for it to plug into, but what purpose would it serve? Thanks, Keith |

On bikes delivered outside the United States, that socket has a bulb in it. It stays on when the switch is moved to a park position. A drop of super glue might keep it from ever backing out again. The only thing that occupies my mind? Cobwebs? |
