I have been using Crystal-Glo polish on my bike (06' XB9SX), mainly because it claims to resist fuel spills, and I've read how petrol can really mess up the translucent air box covers. While on a bike trip this past weekend, I was gassing up and had a tank bag on, so I couldn't monitor things too well and got a pump that din't click off when the tank was full...causing the tank to overflow big-time. I thought I was in for a big headache and low and behold, barely even a blemish on the airbox cover! The stuff works amazing! However, petrol did run down the side of the frame and cause a stain on the primary cover. Anyone have suggestions how to clean that up? I would have to say that Crytal-Glo works awesome and I highly recommend it. I washed the bike today and the airbox cover is perfect. I was not able to get rid of the stains on the primary cover, unfortunately.
