I swapped out front ends a while ago to change from S to R. My speedometer worked for quite a while fine. And then it stopped working some while I was riding, a couple of times I could turn off the bike and then it would start working again. Now it does not work at all. When I turn the bike on it does spin up so I know the actual gauge works. Everything else seems to work fine on the gauge cluster. I wiggled the connection around that goes into the gauge cluster and tried it out but the speedometer still didn't work while moving. What else should I check? I'm thinking at this point that it isn't a short at the gauge cluster since I moved it around without it fixing the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

check the KV. The 03 speedo sensors do go out. There is a retrofit kit to fix it.

I read in the KV and there is some talk about cleaning it and that has fixed some peoples problems on the S models. Would ether be fine to clean it with or is there something else I should use?

Thanks
