Well I am happy! Got the new stuff from Al yesterday and got it on today. Actually only took me about 1/2 hour to do the swap.

Al was on his way (with Ebear) to go play motorcycle in Utah and stopped along the way top drop off my parts and did a TPS reset for me as well. Despite the software not linking with the bike for a few tries he hung in there and got it to talk. All on the start of a long road trip.

I can't say enough about how impressed and grateful I am. Thanks again.

BTW the TPS was way overdue and the bike feels alive again. Throw in trusting the belt for a few and I am a happy man.

That's awesome!

I can't tell you how much I hope your Buell trouble days are over. That belt conversion should make a world of difference (as in no breaky belty anymore: ) )

Hey Skyguy,

Yes I did the happy dance. That new belt was freaking tight though. I had to really muscle the wheel over to get the axel in.

I sure hope this is it for awhile. I just spent the last three days rebuilding the top end on my Pinzgauer as well (serious PITA).

I could happily go a few months without seeing a wrench again.......................

anyway me and the boys are off for a serious ride on Wed if anyone wants to hit the Crest with us. Damm I love riding with a couple of off duty chippies! One in front one behind. I am a gold shield sandwich!

Ciao,

Skyguy-

If I get my S2's front isolator swapped out (and if I can steer clear of bogus megaconglomerate meetings) I may take ya up on that ride invite.
