I need some info on changing the front exhaust gasket on an 04' xb12s. I was riding to my girls house tonight, and I was just about to a stop sign and down shifted, and it blew out. I had a friend pick me up and bring me to her house (only a mile away). I have to do it tommorow(saturday) as I need to leave her house no later than 9am sunday morning, to be a work on time. Should i try and do it or just take it to the dealer. Also, does anyone have the parts number for it. Would a straight HD dealer carry this gasket(as in for one of their HD bikes).

Is it just the two nuts on the front side and then it comes out or is there more to it?

The hard part is that you need to get the header out of the way, and I dont think you will get enough room without loosening/removing the entire header.

Someone on here might know of a trick.

I sure hope there is a trick, If not I am gonna have to get a ride home from my buddy and take it to the dealer this coming week. Would this be covered under warranty? Guess all wouldn't be too bad tho, when I take it there I might as well have them do a TPS reset on the race ecm I have never put in yet.
