I am getting ready to buy the IronMachine extentions that push the mirrors out.
I was wondering if anyone has them already and likes them?
And will Buell make a change on the 2004 models with new mirrors or extentions?
I can wait if Buell has something coming for a fix.

In all honesty, I can't go with something that would make the bike wider and potentially contribute to blurrier mirrors.

FWIW, my solution to better rear visibility uses large (approx 2.5 x 4 in.) stick-on blind spot mirrors from Pep Boys. They're put on the mirror where my arm intrudes - the inside half of the mirror. The stock mirror is then adjusted to look straight back while the stick-on mirror pretty well covers peripheral vision for 2 adjacent lanes without having to move my head. It's not pretty but it's effective and doesn't increase the width of the bike (an important consideration when lane-splitting). As always, YMMV and, if your concerned about aesthetics, ignore my comment.

IMO, If Buell is to do anything to improve the mirrors, I would hope they bring the mirrors back more and maybe up a little higher to put the field of view closer to the helmet. It's just my opinion of what might work a little better.

I have them. They do greatly reduce rear vision by raising the mirror up and out about an inch. It is just enough to see through about half of your mirrors past your elbows. I haven't noticed any additional vibration problem. They are well built, look good, and come with nice hardware. I would highly recommend them. By the way, you can get them through ASB or direct from Ironmachine for the same price. I ordered from Ironmachine direct. A guy there actually called me a week later to see if I was pleased with the product.

Cap,
Do I understand you to say that they "reduce rear vision"?

Sure does look like that is what I wrote. What I meant to say is they increase the amount of vision to the rear. You can actually see around your elbows and see things directly behind you.

Cap,
Thank you for clarifying.
From the rest of your text it seamed like that was what you were saying.

Buck:

So what's up with the r6 mirrors?

Also, has anyone gotten the throttle-side bar end mirror to work? I remember seeing a post with some suggestions, but no response with results.

Geofg,

Mine works fine.

Just move the control housing slightly to the center to give the throttle tube clearance from the bar end.
