Insurance is paying to have my frame replaced due to a small dent and three 1/16" gauges. I could not believe they are going to pay $1900 for the frame and header pipes. it fell of my atv / moto jack. My comprehensive covered it with a $200 deductible. My question is this, I will be getting the old frame back, I'd like to sell it if I can...I know that I will keep my old VIN number, so can I still sell this frame to a racer or something? I still cant believe they are replacing it, the dent is about 3 inches long by 1.5 inches wide and not even 1/8" deep, the gauges are even less, I wasnt even going to have the work done, I was going to spend the money on way cool American Sport Bike stuff, but the insurance writes the check to me and the servicing stealership. So I have to have it done. The headers I understand, they were dented pretty bad.

Also does anyone know if I could get a black frame like a 12s has or is it different from the 9sx? I asked the stealership, but they said they didnt know for sure because of the vin number issues???? Anyone have any insight on this? I'd like a black frame, that way its less work just to paint the swing arm.

Thanks for suffering through my bad grammar and punctuation. - Sean

All the frames are the same except color. The 2 exceptions now are the uly and ss. I don't think you'll be able to put a 12 frame on a 9 because the VIN hold alot of information about the bike, like cc's and model. Sorry to hear about your incident.
