Im riding normally, cruising at about 40 in the city. Light changes and I get on the binders hard, front and rear. No prob, stopped in plenty of time. However, the bike decided it did not want to drop below 2000rpm right away. so as im sitting at the light, it dribbles down and settles itself at around 1200rpm with a really weird lopey idle sound. wtf? the light changes and i take off and the bike stumbles from 2000-3500rpm, then smooths out. I shift to 2nd, same deal, but much less pronounced. by third, i can hear its still not running right, but can't really feel the the stumbling any more.

I get to the gym and shut her down. come back and start her up, and she starts idling really rough at about 850rpm till she gets warm, at which point, continues idling at about 1200rpm. same issues with the stumbling through 1st and 2nd gear.

This morning, same deal... rough idle till she's warm then high idle, and the stumbling.

I tried the process for resetting the AFV, but that didn't work. I tried adjusting the idle speed screw, and that helped settle down the idle, but the bike almost sounds like its misfiring or the timing is off or the fuel delivery is off... It obviously still starts and runs.
i'm very close to 10K miles... Would this possibly be a symptom of the TPS needing a reset? any other suggestions?

i already made the appt at Ft. Wash HD; was planning on getting my race ecm installed anyways. I've been meaning to upgrade the plugs and wires too, but that will have to wait till next month!

well, now i get to look forward to a week of riding the METRO to work. Whoopie!

First time I hear about upgrading spark plugs wires. What kind of upgrade are we talking about?
