I rode my 9r a pretty long way with one goal in mind. Sling bag! Riding the 12sl was fun. I wanted to ride the scg version but the one they had was band spanking so i settled with the sl. I didn't like how wide the bars were but that didn't limit my riding ability. I was able to lean it very easily. It was almost easier than my R. The new engine and tranny is very refined and put less strain on my inputs. I would love to get a xb12scg, maybe when the R is paid off.

I sort of did the same thing, but the demo was near the beginning of the ride. I decided to go on my first road trip last weekend, then I heard the demo truck was in Toledo - about 70 miles south of me, so I went that way.
I tried a long, too. That 12 motor really has some grunt. It felt quite a bit different from the 9SX, but I'm not sure how much of it was the geometry and how much from the engine.

The free bag is nice, too.

I'm pretty sure there's at least one suzuki convert from that ride.

i loved how the seat feels. but it needs the 12R ECM (wake it up). love the 12Scg as well. hell i loved riding all the bikes. the only one i didn't ride was the Uly. oh well one of the salesman at the local dealer said anytime i want to ride a Uly he won't mind letting me ride his. he's a great guy.

and yeah alot of the import riders loved the bikes too. one even found out how not to GRAB!!! the front brake. OUCH!!!!

Did one of the 12s still have the Laconia sticker on the left side from a previous "ouch"?

3 of my friends and I went the prior w/e to Williamsport, PA Demo ride (4 hr round trip) only to get rained out, no sling bags given out w/o ride. Did get a folding hat and yellow demo ride t-shirt though, whooppeee!
