My bike wont start, the power up stuff that happens in when you turn the key on and starter switch on, nothing happens. I put the battery on the charger and the charger says the battery is good. I had to change out the headlight and did, turned on the electrical system to ops check it and ops check good, then the lights just went out and it wouldn't come back on again. Please help!!

Sorry I figured out the problem, must have put the light bulb in wrong or something with the wiring, I found out I kept blowing the fuse, replaced fuse swapped lights out. Ops check good. Thanks!!

Do you have voltmeter or a battery tester with load tester.. I have have good fluke for the garage and I carry a nice small one the size of a cell phone on my bike..

Cheap way to rule out the battery.. Take the battery out and take it to like auto zone or something they have good battery tester and its free...

Go from there Connections, fuses etc.....

I had Electrical glitch this morning my self.. I washed the bike then a few hours later it didn't start.. I put on the charger long enough to get it started. drove it to a friends party now the voltage is good again.. I have feeling the battery might be starting to go..

Good Luck

Check the ignition fuse and the key and ignition relays.

As for the wet start problem that Teddagreek has, I would check the stator connector on the right side behind the sprocket cover. One rider reported the same problem and the connector was holding water.

Doitinthedark, if the fuse and relays are ok then post the results.

I would check the kickstand sensor. Mine went out last week on my '03.
