Just wondering what pple like for tires. Ive got an xb9s 03' with the stock 207's. 3k miles on rear and its pretty bald, front will be ok for now. i was thinking on going with the dunlop 208, had experience with em and seem ok. Or i was gonna check into the pirelli sync's that come on the cityx i hear there really nice. I ride super aggressive, alot of hard cornering and weelying. NO BURNOUTS however,,, 2 much money ... let me know whats ur recomendations. | ||

Pirelli! Love the Sync's, lasted me 5,000 miles on the rear which is fantastic for what I put them through! Just like you, only I did a bunch of rolling/circle burnouts too. Great feel, grip and life, I'm hooked on Pirelli.   Woooo! We have signatures now!! | ||

what kinda technique are you using to get ur rollies going... im at around 4500rpms and slippn clutch w/ frnt brake on to get mine going and have had success a few times most just comes up on end. im only 140lbs soo not much weight to throw around. | ||

I just get where I'm barely moving, then just lean forward and slip it. I would say that if you are wheelying (wheeliing, wheely-ing, wheelywhateverthehell) Then you are letting the clutch out too fast. Alot of the technique seems to depend on the surface that I am on. Concrete is the best, asphalt is about the worst.  My Hero! | ||

I put the Conti Force Sports on my bike, and they feeling a million times better than the Dunlops. I have about 5K on the rear right now, and it is at the wear marks. I got them from ridirect.com as a set for $200 with free shipping. | ||

Metzeler Z6, Pirelli Strada, and Conti Road Attacks all grip better than the 207 and will last at MUCH longer. | ||

Pirelli Diablos! I have the corsas, but any of the variations are just plain awesome tires depending on your useage. Pirelli Diablo usage: corsa = race/street plain diablo = street strada = touring/mileage Even the stradas have gotten good reviews in the canyons and light trackdays use. The Diablo profile is very Buell friendly! Plus I really dig the name....It's a diablo it has to be good  I'd rather sweat than bleed, wouldn't you? White is definitely the FASTEST color Buell. | ||

I third the diablo recomendation. had 3600 miles on stockers=toast, cupping in front and just didnt feel planted to me not confidence inspiring at all. just got Diablo stradas, it turns so easy, it really makes the bike feel more like a toy very easy to flick around. better high speed stability. | ||

Hey Diablobrain, Sup? YEah I have always run the pilot powers another great tire, and I run the Avon`s on thee old ladies... Guys around here run the Avons also on the ZX10r`s and really like them as well ,I can say the Avons last LONGgggggg probaly same as the Stradas... Wd. anyone know where i can get em at... I wd. like to get a couple of sets of these,Where can I find them down in the States at a good price, and I can See if they will ship em up here to me in East coast Canada.. Thanks | ||

You might want to investigate the new Dunlop Qualifiers. Dunlop finally got serious about sport tires, and the Qualifiers have gotten top marks in comparative tests. I just put a pair on, and they seem to handle great. Only have about 100 miles on them, so that's all I know. Even though your front may look ok, it isn't. There may be rubber on it, but the profile has changed. If you want the best handling, always change front and rear tires at the same time. I tried getting two rears to one front. I won't try it again. The handling with the second rear and the old front tire was never good. (Message edited by gentleman_jon on May 26, 2006) | ||

Oh, I was going to say...as far as the burn outs I find just stick it in 2nd...weight off the seat,front brake on steady, gas her,slip the clutch then release and burn all day long... If ya want ( kind of in reverse order ) add weight to seat,release front brake Slow... more gas, lean weight forward ( all at the same time sort of ) and...........Do a nice smoking burn outttttt...Now I saw someone do that on the net, Then when ya get good maybe then shift into 3rd if ya got any tire left that is> disclaimer < I wd. never try it myself :-) | ||
