I have an '03 XB9S and would like to remove my sidestand for racing, but am unclear about "re-wiring" the sidestand switch so the bike will start without it. Anybody done this?
If so, detailed instructions would be helpful (I am an idiot when it comes to anything electrical!). I thought about taking it to the dealership, but, well, you know...

Per the 03' service manual the switch is to ground and is in an open when the stand is down. So all you should have to do is put a ground jumper wire from the wire coming into the switch to a good ground.
