What kind of gas mileage do you guys get with your Drummer SS's, I think that used to get 120 miles on a tank before my low fuel light came on. Last night my light came on after 85 miles. I am running the bike a little harder than before, but it seems like it's drinking a lot of fuel. | ||

I have a standard Drummer on my 9 and have been riding the s**t out of it. I pulled into the garage today and have 113 miles on my last tank of gas and still have yet to see the gas light come on. | ||

Fravel, I've never done better than about 100 miles before the light came on for my stock CityX. This past weekend, I installed the race ECU, K&N, and the Drummer SS. Yesterday I tore through my first tank of gas, and the light came on at 89 miles! I don't understand the high miles claimed by other Buellers. I had theorized that my bike wasn't tuned properly, but since I now have a new ECU and did a TPS reset, my best guess is that I REALLY ride the s**t out of it. | ||

I have found the fuel mileage to be very touchy. I have gotten as little as 41 mpg, solo riding, hard, basically running the crap out of it, and just last weekend got 68mpg returning from W Va. trip with a bunch of cruiser buddies. ( down hill, too slow, but hey, 68mpg! ) | ||

I have an 03 XB9S just rolled over 7K miles, last night I filled up at 143 miles and fuel light didn't come on yet (although I believe it was about to). Receipt says I put 2.65 gallons in it. I always stand the bike straight up when I fill it and make sure I fill it to the top, just below the gas cap. Only mods are new wires and Iridium plugs, synthetic fluids, K&N oil and air filters. Mileage is a mix of mostly highway and some city. Beats the hell out of what the mileage my other vehicle gets!  | ||

Comeing back from MB last weekend my 9S with standerd drummer, race ecm,k&n filter, and cut up air box got 63.3 mpg. | ||

To those of you getting less than 100 miles before the light comes on, how much fuel will it let you put back in? I'd be curious if this was an issue of the bike not being completely filled rather than a fuel consumption issue. When on the sidestand I fill mine till the fuel rises above the "ring" in the filler neck. With the bike completely vertical I fill right up until the fuel touches that ring. Any more than that and the tank will overflow. Even if I stop before it overflows and just park the bike for a few minutes, the change in temperature is enough to cause the bike to overflow so I know the tank is completely full using that method. By completely filling the tank and going ~20 miles on the light I can consistently go 150+ miles from a tank, and the bike never takes more than 3.15 gallons to fill again. *Edit: I don't have the SS on my bike, just the standard drummer, open air box, and TFI. I went 91 miles and it took 2.73 gallons this morning, which works out to 33.3 mpg - but again, I was riding it VERY hard. Before my performance mods, this was the norm (I don't think I've ever broken 40 mpg, which seems to be much less than almost everyone else here). | ||

I ride really hard, alot of 2nd gear 6krpm weelies and alot of full throttle back roads. 03' 9s with jardine, race ecu, k&N and open airbox and i was lil cautious that im only getting 120 miles before the light comes on... averaging out around 36-40mpg which is really good and i was prett shocked. pple whom are having problems should get their bikes on the last leg on fuell like 25 miles on the light and go fill it to the top and see how many gallons used and go from there | ||
