Don't worry. It can take a while to come on, depending on ambient temperature. If it doesn't come on after a spirited ride then you may have a problem. The temp sensor is buried deep in the rear head. |

usually takes a good steady 10-15 min ride for mine to come on in 65-70 degree weather! |

You want your fan to come on? Go out tomorrow and get stuck in traffic. |

dont worry if your fan doesnt come on. it has a pretty fancy sensor and there's a certain "turn-on" temp while its running and another one for when its shut down. well, actually, worry if it NEVER comes on. but dont worry if it doesnt come on every time! D |

Mine used to come on when parked every time I took it out but since last Thursday when I replaced all the fluids with AMSoil full synthetics it is noticably less. Seems to be more smoother, a little more "pep", and definetly cooler. |

My 2003 XB9R has always needed a good little run for 10 minutes plus before the fan kicks on (syn and conventional fluids.) Syn3 a little less fan action. |
