...can't find my bloody manual... does anyone have a check list for the first 1000miles service as its coming up in a week? going to go with synthetic oil after reading the post earlier on here, any other recommendations appreciated cheers | ||

From the XB12 factory manual: - Change/replace engine oil and filter - Inspect/service air filter - Inspect brake rotors and pads for wear - Adjust primary chain - Change/replace tranny and primary lube. Clean drain plug. - Perform TPS reset - Check/adjust idle speed - Adjust throttle cables - Adjust clutch cable - Check rear belt and idler pulley - Check tires for pressure and tread wear - Clean oil cooler fins - Inspect/service brake fluids - Check operation of electronics (switches, lights, etc.) - Inspect oil/brake system for leaks - Lube front brake lever, throttle control cables, clutch control cables & hand lever, sidestand pivot, and rear brake pedal bushing. - Inspect mounting and condition of brake lines, oil lines, front forks, rear shock, exhaust system - Road test | ||
