So, has anyone here that has done the belt upgrade on the 03's ever removed the front sprocket? According to the service manual, you need a special socket and sprocket alignment tool for obvious reasons. Just wondering if anyone has come up with a way to do it minus the specialty tools. Otherwise it's another trip to the dealer.   Diablobrian Posted on Monday, May 15, 2006 - 10:49 pm:        First off it's left handed threads. leave the belt on. have a friend hold the rear brake. try a breaker bar first. if that doesn't work apply heat to the nut carefully. if the breaker bar still will not work try an impact wrench.
