Guys,

I'm looking at getting a race ECM for my '05 XB9SX as I'm going to modify my pipe (Larry rocks!) for better sound and don't want to run lean.

What do I need to know?

Is there more than one race ECM to consider?

Can you get one for less than $200?

Who's the best person to get one from?

Or am I wasting my time? Is running lean a true concern if you maintain your bike accordingly?

Just make sure you;r hd dealer is good with buells. If there not you;r going to be in nightmares cause no one knows what there doing. Took me 4 weeks to get mine finally straightened out. U have to do an intake mod as well, im running open airbox kit with k&N before that bike ran like crap, popping alot and dogging out.

PS: Yes running your bike lean will cause damage to the engine. Even if you do keep it up.

Not really.
The most you need to do is remove the snorkel.

LOL...he says he takes mondays off.. he really tries but doesnt. If you post on here, chances he will probaly respond some kind of way today even..he is pretty darn dedicated.

I have not yet caught Dave. It's around $210 from Buell.com. Hopefully Dave has another option...

If I remember correctly, Dave sells them for $188.00, don't know if that is with the 10% off or not.

That's what I bought mine for (188.00) from Dave, plus shipping. I also bought the K&N from him as well(I think it was 46.00, but don't quote me).
