Doorbell rings and there's a nice big package waiting for me from the Fed Ex man. I briefly looked over the pieces. They are all fairly decent in regards to quality except for the upper fairing portion. The left side could have used another layer of fiber. There is one part that I literally can push on and see cracking. There is also one edge that has some cracks in it. Nothing I can't take care off. I'll need to mount all of the pieces and then do some spot putty work and wet sanding as much of it looks like it was just hit with an 80 grit to clean up and then shot with primer. Regardless, I can't wait to get it all mounted. If I get some time, I may start with the rear tail and tank this weekend. The fairing will take some time as I still need to order the mounting kit and mold in the headlights (after I get them properly wired).

What brand did you order? the Sebimoto from racingmotorcycles.com, or the sharkskinz from Hal's?
Or from another vendor, like Yoyodyne?

The godfathers people told us at Daytona that they made their mold off of a sharkskinz fairing.

If you could post pics of it as it came it would be helpful to others considering buying fairings.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know what you got and what condition it was in.

I was actually just out in the garage doing some wet sanding on it. Kind of wierd....I assume that gel coat doesn't always have to be white. This appears to be blue, but I don't quite understand how it was molded. The tank almost seems like two pieces (but not two equal pieces) that have been joined. The tail piece also seems to be two pieces but down the middle. Also, there are no mounting tabs on the bottom of the tail piece. Bit hard to explain, but I'll take some pic's tomorrow.
