I was looking at the select seat on the buell website how does this compare to the stock seat city x seat as far as comfort..

Are the heights of the seat the same???????

Ted,
I have both seats. The select seat is a little lower and better shaped. However, with me being 6'-3" tall, its not that much more comfortable. I like the leg room the stock City X seat gets me. If you are a shorter rider, the select is probably hands down better...but I need leg room.

Thanks... Are we talking about inch or half inch..

I'm 6'1" stock height works for me but after a 1200 mile trip I got a bit sore.. Though it was nice being able to scoot back in forth to stretch on the stock seat..

There is a local place that redoes seats where I live and uses a visco foam and leather...

There is one in my local dealer hanging on the wall I should ask a sales man if I can put in on my bike to compare..

I wish the local dealers would stock some seats. They would sell better if we could try them first before we buy. Like, not even a minute to change it out. I can't imagine how many people the dealers have turned away looking for things for the Buell. Or go one better. Put them on before you sell the bike. Dealers do that with Harleys. Why not with Buells too?
