Talking about "TUBERS" !!!

Have a 97S3T and have been on the side of
the road TWICE in the 89K miles that is
on my odometer ...

First time was a BROKEN FRONT MOTOR MOUNT
which was a RECALL ISSUE(warrenty) ...

Second was a BROKEN DRIVE BELT which would not have happened if it had been replace
at the proper "PREVENTIVE MAINTENCE" time
frame ... WAS TRYING TO SEE JUST HOW LONG THE "BELT" WOULD ACTUALLY LAST !!!

Why don't all the Buell hating contributors to this and every other "Buell bashing" thread go elsewhere ???

Aren't we getting tired of being slammed because we're "biased" towards Buells ???

What kind of moron comes in here and dumps all over the bikes owned by all the other participants of this forum ???

One last comment for Sheldonesbe:

"i am going to up grade to a gsx-r 1000 see you guys in the rearview..."

Ask one of your relatives to keep us posted on your funeral arrangements, we'll send our condolences !!!

Blackbelt:

At DAYTONA 2006, "i" ask Erik Buell if he
wanted to buy it back to see where he went wrong ... Was not interested at this time ... By DAYTONA 2007 it will have over 100K miles ... If "i" haven't taken the TOP
END off, "i" will ask him again ...

Sheldon...I'm over my bike and hopefully you will be too...that will leave Spike et al to overly protect that wonderful, inventive and forward thinking brand that is Buell, with their shields of steel! Dense I may be but I still have the ability to see that something might not be that good just because I've got one!

quote:

SSSHHHHHH!!!!! DON'T TALK ABOUT ANY PROBLEMS WITH A BUELL PRODUCT TO OTHER BUELL OWNERS THEY WILL TELL YOU THE ONLY PROBLEM IS YOURSELF!

Now this has to be a troll. Does this guy even own a Buell?

I've already linked to one current thread of an XB owner with a legitimate problem who is getting nothing but help. The problem *might* even be his fault, but he hasn't caught any flames for it because he . . . wait for it . . . asked for help. We have plenty of other threads from normal, polite posters that work that way. You have been asked multiple times to give us some background on the problems, you provided none and continued to be rude. Now you want to claim we're biased and unwilling to help or admit that Buells break. None of those claims are true.

Sheldon and Buell1111,

We might have a taste for koolaid here once in a while. After all, this is primarily a Buell enthusiast board. Most of us have some cash and or emotional investment in our bikes that makes us tend to be a little defensive when someone categorically refers to Buells as 'crap'. What else would you expect?

Buell1111, we welcome riders of all makes and models, and don't slam others for what they ride. For those seeking advice about what bike to ride, we offer info on Buells, but freely admit that there are other, sometimes better, choices depending on what floats your boat. When one of our fellow BadWeb riders decides to move on to another brand, we wish him/her well and congratulate them on their choice. But we always welcome them, and anyone else here. In contrast to your accusations, I'd say that takes a modicum of maturity and more of an open mind. Try finding such tolerance on other sportbike forums in which the very mention of the word 'Buell' elicits such venemous trashing and 3rd grader name calling that it's almost comical if it weren't so insulting. Sheldon, try going on some of the other sportbike forums and mention your stated Buell problems. You'd get maximum ridicule and zero assistance. You got slammed here, but it was because of your torched-earth attitude. Mixed in with the pummeling, you also got some sound, reasonable advice which you eventually acknowledged and applied to your benefit.

Once you get your gsxr, I suppose you won't have much use for us here at BadWeb and will move on to one of the 'me-too!' sportbike forums where you can join in the Buell hating with the rest of 'em.

Buell1111, with your 2 posts: If it stinks so bad in here on BadWeb, go outside - and stay.

"Ask one of your relatives to keep us posted on your funeral arrangements, we'll send our condolences !!!"

I guess that's why the choice is Buell?
Seems like you're implying that either Buell riders don't know how to ride, or the Buell is too slow to get into trouble!

It's just that the aggression and immaturity level is pretty hard to believe!
Are you sure this isn't a Schwinn Sting Ray site?
Lighten up guys. What are you so frustrated about? It’s a web site for Christ’s sake! Not the end of the world. Well, at least not MINE anyway!

Spikey boy...you got your quotes mixed up the first one was mine. I assume then, that you are asking me if I own a Buell, the answer is no, however I have just sold my XB9R last month. Ran it for 2 years and put 10,000 miles on it. Loved it while it was on the tarmac as apposed to in the workshop.

I don't think wishing death on anyone for switching brands is a mature response personally. I love Buell, but to each his own. Ride safe no matter if it's your latest score at the local bar or any 2 wheeled machine.

You jump in a thread to "stir the pot" and then sit back and call us immature.

The GSXR-1000 is an incredible bike. If you want one and like them, I can't imagine a greater bang for the buck. Go get one, you will love it! Feel free to tell us how great it is as well, most of us will agree.

(And if you find somebody willing to give you $8k for the 9sx, let me know, that would make a Uly upgrade pretty attractive).

Seriously, good luck! Everyone should have a bike they love, and there are so many amazing bikes out there today, there is no reason why anyone wouldn't.

BlackXB,

"I don't think wishing death on anyone for switching brands"

I wasn't "wishing" anything on anyone

I was making a joke (guess you didn't get it), that guy was trying to impress us with dumping his Buell for a faster bike - as if anyone give's an RA !!!

I was a little sloppy in quoting both of you, but my reply was to both of you. You're both claiming that we don't tolerate posts about Buell problems, which is not true. I've already cited another thread where a Buell problem is being fixed without flames, what more evidence do you want? Would you like me to start my own thread of Buell problems that I've experienced?

I second the "I can't believe I read this whole thread..." statement by Canadian Bacon

now for my thoughts on the whole situation

If I wanted to complain about my wife, and the fact that she doesn't look as good as she did when I first picked her up, and she has given me a few problems that took some time to resolve, and how I would like to get rid of her and get me the "Angelina Jolie" model... I would not call her father, or her brother, or her mom, or her aunt or uncle, or her best friend, and tell them how dissapointed I was with her and tell them I had been looking at this other prettier, younger, skinnier, or whatever girl that I see every so often that looks so good to me. Because, they "love" her and they want to defend her and stand up for her and tell me that I am the cause of those feelings not her, and they would probably cuss me out, call me names and threaten me, etc. But, If I called her dad and said, hey me and her have been having some trouble lately and i really want this to work why is she acting like this, he would probably thank me for caring enough to call and try to help me, maybe even get involved himself without a carefully worded conversation with her or something to help find out whats wrong and let me know what is up and how i can fix it, so that we could get back to normal and I would realize that "Angelina" would be great until I had to pay for all she wanted to do, and all the extra expenses and time she required to keep her happy, etc.

anyway, if you want a shoulder to cry on or need a helping hand, remember you are talking about our family (our bike that we love and defend). and, I can yell at my brother, cuss him out, and kick his tail, but if someone else does any of that, you better believe they will be swallowing teeth.

So Shelton, sorry if some of the statements of some of the members hurt your feelings or made you angry, but you attacked something that we already feel like we have to defend, i hope you will keep your bike long enough for it to rebuild your confidence in it and that you may devlop the feelings that most of the rest of us on this site would say that we have.

Good luck on your Buell or whatever brand you end up with. Keep the rubber on the road and the skin on your body.

I can empathize with Sheldon. It's a shame that some of us Buell fanatics have to give him such a hard time when he's already had one via the product.

I've been where he is, and it isn't a nice place. Some of you need to be where that is, and maybe you'd understand better.

Sheldon,

For the all-out sport bike the gsxr 1k is not the best bang for the buck. The gsxr 750 is!
Both are awesome bikes. I sincerely hope that everything works out for you in the end.

Please understand also that motorcycling is one of life's great passions and we are
obviously passionate about our choice of motorcycle.

Why are you still at it ???

You just registered, and you've made (ONLY) 6 posts on this forum and everyone of them has been antagonistic.

Like I said, you burst on the scene and start wailing on people without even knowing who you're talking to.

Did you come here to talk about and enjoy Buell motorcycles or to cause trouble ???

If you have an axe to grind, take it elsewhere.
