Yeah..we (3%ers and Stone Mountain H-D/Buell)do that ride. March Badness. It was unfortunate but she target fixated on the gully and amazingly went in the gully. She was riding a Blast. That was the only incident of the weekend. As far as I know it wasn't life threatening and she will be fine.

As far as us doing another. There will be a MBIV for sure!

The buell demo day here in ATX was delayed also. Someone from the last ride spilled it. Sad man. I knew when I graduated from the MSF course there were 2 people I think that should of not passed that was in my class.

Scary 2 see them out in the public roads riding on 2-wheels.

Glad to see she's okay. One thing I've noticed was that a Blast can get you in just as much trouble as any of the other bikes. On a BRAG ride in 2003 one woman on a Blast (who was keeping pace pretty well) went down in a corner. I'm sure the fact that there was somebody down and others stopped (the third person in our group went off, she was the 6th) gave her the same target fixation issue. She tried to make the corner and low-sided. Broke both bones in her lower leg, right above the ankle. She has since upgraded to an XB9S and is still riding. She had one of the steel rods that she had in her leg made into a bike keychain.

Back in 2000 during my wife's MSF class there was an older couple (60's) who had just bought brand new BMW's. BMW pays for the course with the purchase of a new bike.

They were all over the place, out of control, and just not safe. They didn't pass the class. While it was good to know that they weren't on the road, could you imagine having a brand new motorcycle that you can't legally ride???

BS- IIRC, at March Badness 2004, someone did an accidental over-the-handlebars stoppie immediately after pulling out of T.W.O. on an XB on a test ride.

I had to shake my head because I was standing by waiting for my turn and had JUST heard Clown warn all the test riders about the front brakes on the XB's and how to take it really easy on the brakes until they were used to them. I guess this guy didn't believe him.

Yea, that would suck. Of course hopefully they realize it's better to flunk than to get killed. You can always retake the class.

I was at March Badness and passed the accident scene right after they took the girl away. I would like to know what happened to her. It always upsets me when someone goes down, even if I don't know them.

I was at March Bad this year, and I would just like to say that this event was handled in the most professional manner of any Buell Demo day I have ever been to, and I have been to several.

The sponsor, Stone Mountain HD, and the 3%'s, the participating Brag Club, made this event not only safe, but they had selected a route and a pace that allowed first time Buell riders to easily appreciate the particular handling qualities of the bike. They gave over 300 demo rides, and generated a great deal of enthusiasm and good will for Buell.

While any accident is unfortunate, it is always the responsibility of the rider to not get involved in an event that might require a higher skill level than they possess at the time. Riding in the North Georgia mountains is not a beginners event.
