So I had the LED marker lights that LP makes - it's an oval with 8 led's.

THEY SUCK. You cannot see them on a sunny day, at all, period!

So in an effort to save my hide from getting rear-ended, I picked up a set of the Shock Racing marker lights. They have several different styles, depending on your preference. I picked up the Mini 5. Here's pics:

This one packs 15 LED's inside and alters the interior surface of the clear lens so that it spreads the light out better.

Can you see them good in the sunlight and are they bright at night?

I like to hear different peoples opinions on these.

Yes, you can see them in bright sunlight and they are IMPOSSIBLE to miss at night...

I don't think any of the sponsors sell these, so it should be safe to post the link:

I have some mini 6's on my Firebolt. I think the style fits that bike very well. Very well lit blinkers.

If the stock ones weren't so cheap to replace
I wouldn't mind having some of the shock turn signals.
Problem is it's hard to justify the expense for
a part that doesn't help performance significantly
(how many of us really worry about Cd values on our
bikes? I might buy some later when I have all of
the performance mods I want done.

They sure look nice though!

The mini3's that just shipped to me today have 24 LED's in each.

I use a set of the mock carbon fiber led turn signals and feel that they are just as bright as the stock ones. They look tons better, but they accumulate moisture in rain storms. Been on there for 24,000 mi without failure yet.

I think you are compromising visibility with style here. The lenses are clear and aren't as effective as the stockers. I've seen bikes with those on and I can barely see them right behind them I doubt a car can see them any better.

I'm also using the Shocks and love them. Just be sure to use American Sport Bike's LED flasher with them.
I went with the 18 LED rears and the micro minis on the front.

Isham,
There is a HUGE difference between the cheap clear lense turn signals and the high
quality ones. Kind of like the difference between cheap mirrors and the pricier ones.

My only complaints with these are
1) price, and
2) I doubt they are DOT legal.

The second one I didn't think of earlier, and could lead to either additional fines
if you were to be pulled over for any reason and the officer decided to look for more
violations. (I've had that happen)
