Had a Simpson Bandit(almost identical to the Outlaw) with my 1st street bike. Rode the bike for two yrs straight in San Antonio. And it does get cold in SA, but fogging was never a problem, comfort was never a problem, reliability wasn't either. Only problem I had with it was my own stupidity. Dropped it while crossing a street, turned to watch it get caught under a moving vehicle and get dragged for two miles. Wore a nice flat spot on the side of the helmet. But if I could afford one I would get it, I don't believe you would go wrong. | ||

i've had a simpson for a while. nice quality piece, although it is different from most bike helmets. wouln't hesitate to purchase another product from them. if you like it, buy it. | ||

On the web site it states that the Street Warrior is for a car..maybe ok for a cruiser type bike, but prolly not the right shape if you get your head down over the bars, like a sport bike. Mike | ||

"My first reaction is thats it's one ugly helmet." A number of people would say that Buells are pretty ugly... I guess its a matter of personal opinion. And I, personally, think the helmets kind of give off a pretty mean streetfighter look. I do have to admit that it is a kind of EXTREME look and am not sure if I'd go so far as to purchase one. But just in case I was wondering about the performance aspect of the Simpson line. Basically, is the ventilation any good? What about wind resistance? I know that at high speeds some helmets tend to work the neck. | ||

If I had to guess I'd say the ripples on the tops of some of the simpsons are there to reduce buffeting. I haven't worn a simpson in 15 years, the original bandit model. It wasn't terribly quiet or well ventilated. It looked cool though. They are several generations removed from what I wore. | ||

one thing I learned while land speed raceing with a car is that. The main diffrects between a motorcycle and car helment was the liner the car helment was fire proof and motorcycle was not. I had a mc helment and they let me use it but recomend to use a car helment. |
