So I was messing around with my new tail bag for my XB12ss, and I put it on take it off you know just seeing how it looks. Then I notice right behind the battery is a brown spider just under the size of a half dollar. The spider had bands around it legs, but did not look to hairy.

A guy at work just got an email about how the Brown Recluse is in Michigan now, so I am a little more careful than normal with this guy. I have no problems with spiders, I actually kind of like spiders you know for eating bugs and stuff. Long story short I look up the the Recluse online, and the picture is nothing like the little guy I have riding with me.

He crawled underneath the battery, so I guess he is going to stay there until he gets hungry!

PS is there any concern for damage to electronics?

Damage to the electronics? I'd be concerned about that thing crawling down my azz crack while leaned over in a turn.

Hope you don't keep your helmet with your bike. One day he will decide to crawl out and into your helmet. You'll be riding along and he will crawl onto your nose and there is nothing you can do about it until you can stop. That will be the longest 30 sec. of your life.

Hey Hardcorps, I know a lady in Saginaw who works for PETA and would be willing to offer her services as an animal relocation specialist. She could find a nice, safe home for your friend for a small donation of just $75 plus fees.

Or you could brush it off and step on it.

By the way, you post your top speed on two wheels as being 135 mph and your bio says you are in law enforcement. Is it safe to assume that you are a motorcycle patrolman who was in "hot pursuit" at the time? LOL (Or have you already heard that one?)

135 was a long time ago! I should probably take that off, just in case of any future repercusions.

Who was it that posted here about thinking he had a spider in his helmet? While blasting down the interstate at ~80 MPH, he saw a little black thing wiggling in the corner of his vision and thought it was a spider's leg. After a near-fatal swerve across three lanes of traffic and a panic stop, he sprang off the bike, ripped off his helmet and frantically brushed his face off.

After a few seconds, he realized it was just a loose black thread in the helmet liner....
