ya i'm late firing up the XB9 this year, the weather isnt inspiring.
I would normally add a bit of oil to the cylinders to reduce cold start wear. But I dont want to tackle that rear sparkplug.
Would there be a problem in using a fogger type spray into the throttle body? How could I disable the spark for a couple of rev's? -pull the fuse ? Is this a bad idea? thanks for any input

You don't want to fog the bike now. That should have been done before it went up for the winter. Best thing to do is to take the leads off of the coil- which will require some disassembly, or to take the wires off of the spark plugs and ground them to the frame while you crank it over. IMHO it won't matter if you go thru all that or not. It'd take a good bit of cranking to get the oil pressure up. No difference between that and startup. Just don't rev it right away. Next winter, fog it down before you put it away, and you'll be all set.

Grounding it directly to the frame might not be such a good idea. Try a meaty metal part further away from the fuel. (more than likely nothing would happen, but I'm just a little paranoid)
