I was wondering if the cityx buell seat is comfortable it has to be better than the one on my xb9s. I can get one from the dealer for $97, which is a bit cheaper than the select seat and corbin seat. I also think you sit up higher off the ground which would be ok. |

Better padding but really makes you ride tall, City X seats are on Ebay all the time. Picked mine up for $25.00, I do have a select seat for my XB9s too. Im 6 foot tall and the select has a better riding position in my opinion. |

now I have the lower version of the 03 XB9s. -I do have the yellow rear coil. Now my question is if I was to get the SELECT SEAT for mine, will the ride height rise? I am only 5'6" and I hear great rave about the select seat, so IF I get it, I just want to make sure it will not put me higher sitting position on my bike. Let me know? Thanks |

Same thing around here, Iv got a CityX with the stock seat, my feet barely touch the ground... is the difference between the LOW seat and the SELECT seat be big?? Would the SELECT seat be lower than the STOCK XB12S Seat?? My friend has a 12s so that would be a good comparison point! Thanks! |

Over the stocker, the SX seat is much better! Your butt will thank you! |

I dont have hard evidence, only my eyes. I havent been able to do real scientific testing between the seats, but this is my visual take. The Select seat is higher than the low seat (its made for comfort not lack of height) I think the Select is slightly higher than a regular Lightning seat (just barely). |

I am 5'8" and I got the "low" seat with the crossroads on my cityx. I must say more aggressive riding style, and I can actually touch the ground with both feet flat.. ALMOST.. lol.. but I like it allot better and as far as complaints of being comfortable.. I don't mind it.. it suites me fine.. doesn't hurt my rear.. IMO |

I use the SX seat for long distances, and the stocker for local canyon riding. The wife really enjoys the SX, plus I added the 12 passenger peg mounts for her. You will sit higher, I went from flat footed to balls of feet with only about 1/4-3/4 inch under my heal. Course that depends on how much aggresive riding we do. Heat seems to make me sit lower. |

U4euh, What do the 12 passenger peg mounts do for passenger comfort? Legs not as cramped? |

I have an 03 9S. The 12 rear mounts are about 1 inch longer to 1 1/2 inch. That plus the extra 1 inch-1 1/2 inch padding that the SX seat gives my wife really makes a difference for her. On the old system she was good for about 2-3 hours riding. At March Badness this year, we took off and rode 6-7 hours, she was tired, but didn't complain about the lack of comfort on the back of the S this time. So stretching her legs out was my main goal for installing them. I don't know if the CityX uses the longer vs the short or not. |

I'll have to run by the stealer and see if the '05 CItyX is any different than the 12's. Anything to keep the boss happier. Superbee |

Really you should say the '04 passenger peg mounts, they changed all the models to the longer mounts. |
