OK, I am ready to pull the plug on a XB9, but it is the low version. What is the seat height on the XB9SL?? I cant find it on the www! Also, he has an after-market Corbin seat installed. I dont know if that will affect the seat height calculation at all? FWIW, I am 5-11' and moving up from a Blast low model (25.5 seat height). I felt crowded (a little bit) on the Blast. Will I feel crowded on the low version XB. Also, can the height be adjusted to the same height as a standard XB on the low model. Thanks. |

For the XB12cg vs XB12S (should be similar or identical to the XB9SL vs. XB9S) Low: 28.6 Regular: 30.1 According to http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes_gear/lightning/xb12scg/index.asp Click on Specs and Pricing for all the details. The Corbin seat is most likely thicker than the Low seat; guess about 1/2" to 1". No, the Low can't be "adjusted" to regular height. It would involve replacing rear shock, front fork legs and springs, etc. Have fun on the new bike! Bill |

If possible, it might be perfect if you just get a stock xb9 city cross seat, they're really padded and it would probably be a great and cushy height for you. I'm not 100% sure it fits your model, but I'm sure DaveS knows, and there are usually a couple on ebay. |
