have one also, bought new last year.Like the ST fighter look and the handling.Simple as can be,simple engine.I can work on it easy compared to other engines.Love the handling, not a lot of power but it's fast in the twisties.that's where it counts for me anyway.Anybody can go fast on a straight a way on a big motored bike. But as I said, the road ain't straight all the time.

Just got an 06 City X a few months ago. Ride it every day and I think it even calls to me from the garage in my sleep.

You will find as I have there is a whole lot of knowledge here and everyone willing to help when information is at need.

Sweet, another City X rider. Welcome to the club man.

Now, pick up some Novus 1, 2 and 3. The 2 will help clean up any gas spills you get on the plastics. It will happen. Just use some elbow grease and follow the directions. 3 is good for bad messes (or scratches, though if they're really bad it's to late). The 1 is good for shining. Believe me, it looks really good with a good shine on it.

Welcome to the club.
My first Buell is a 2005 CityX.

It's a great bike. The Buell Race Kit really cranks up the performance on it.

I'm a newbie here too with an '05 CityX bought a few months ago.

Just starting to warm up here in the UK so I'm having fun actually using it after a few months of pretty cold weather.

Fun - but it is shame we get stung so much with import taxes and stuff as mine cost the equivalent of $9300 US with slightly more miles!

Got any modification plans BuellcityX?

Hi I too bought a City x and apart from a wheel bearing and some paint issues I'm loving it. Hey shortie are you planning to go to the Buell enthusiasts day at the Sammy Miller Museum 29/4/06?

Anyone else going to this in the UK?

I dunno, IMO it looks good DIRTY! I just keep the bugs off the front daily, and give her a full bath every other week.

Be absolutely paranoid about keeping every last drip of gas off the airbox cover. It'll clean up fine if you blow it, but is a bother to do.

Excellent taste in bikes ;)

Gah, I ride mine like crazy, but I can't stand to let it look to dirty. I love the shine.

Awesome choice on the bike. The cityX is a very well respected buell, for all the right reasons. Enjoy

I just finished a round trip mileage assault of over 1200 miles from Friday afternoon to Monday 4:40. I went from Atlantic City to Lancaster slept there. Next morning I went all the way up rt 322 to State College, then up 144 through Renovo to Hyner Overlook State Park. Then back down to Clearfield to meet other sport tourers. Slept there and then at 8:00 am we (6 other riders) headed out again (Wycoff road unbelievable twisties) back to clearfield Pa and then down to Harpers Ferry WV. Slept over, next day up to Gettysburg Pa and then south east to delaware then jersey back home. ALL on that hooligan bike, The 2006 XB9SX with The Drummer, K&N filter, and Race ECM. I wish I knew how to post pics from my new mac.

Congrats on the CityX. I have a '06 and it is my first Buell. The most fun bike I have ever ridden! I bought it last year and never washed it. I let the dealer do that when I had the service done. Time spent washing is time not riding IMHO. Welcome to the family!

i just picked up my 07 CityX last saturday. i think it's the best handling bike i've ever ridden, by like 500%. i'm new here and this is the first buell i've ever owned. i got to ride my dad's 01 X1 and thought it handled nicely and hooked me on the buell, but, my XB9SX puts that think to shame as far as handling goes.

How do you know Blake, you holding out on us with ride reports? : )

The scary thing is that I am more comfortable on the 9sx then I was on my M2 as well. Don't know how they pulled that off, but they did.
