I am looking for anybody that can give me personal experiences with the Kit.

I am too spoiled by my penske rear shock and worked front forks on my race bike. I am looking for a less $ option for the 9r street bike.

Thanks

Michael

Set the sag by direct measurement and leave the damping where it is (assuming it works for you already).

I raced my 03 XB9 that way til I wadded it up and swapped to Penske rear and Traxxion re-valved forks.

(and yeah, that Penske will make you a believer)

Slaughter,

Did you scrap the XB fan to install the Penske, or can the fan be shimmed back/angled to install the shock? (this is how the Ohlins XB shock is mounted, according to their instructions)

I've got "8981" reasons to find a good answer to this problem!

if im not mistaken the suspension kit does not work on bikes before 05' that is if you're speaking of the buell unit. if not then sorry for the miscommunication.

I ditched the fan since I went to a race-only bike.

I think there are old race spring kits everywhere still that fit the 03 fork tubes. If not, the springs are common units though that race kit set was a pretty good price if I remember.

slaughter,

I have the penske on the race bike . Trying to do the full asra season so there is not a bunch of $ for a penske just for the street. I have no fan on the race bike but not for shock placement .

let me try this again but different . Has anybody gave this a go? http://racingmotorcycles.com/proddetail.asp?prod=16%2D112

Hyperpro Combi Kit.

I have set the sag on the bike but it still feels like mush in comparison to the buell that I race .

Thanks

Michael

Michael - also wondering about that funkadelic purple rear spring... got the HyperPro GP rear shock/spring unit after chickening out about fan removal for Penske install. Yep, that HyperPro feels mushy, though some report that it's s'posed to feel that way. Now I'm wondering if the Buell Pro springs (the rear spring) would fit the HyperPro damper.
