You get what you pay for.
There have been a few times that I have found things cheaper elsewhere but I made myself wait a bit longer to save up the small amount of $ difference. The sponsors here don't just pay the bills that keep the beloved BadWEb running. Oh no, if only it were that simple. The sponsors here are dedicated to the bikes we cherish. They're not here just to take your money. They'll be here long after you've made your purchase, Giving help & advice when you need it. These are also the guys (& gals) who are making advances in the Buell world. I think they deserve my support. I know they've earned it long before I even owned a Buell.

Robb wrote,
"Just because someone will sell you something cheaper, doesn't mean you won't get customer service."

That is true. Doesn't mean you will but it doesn't mean you won't.

Light Keeper wrote this,
"I look at it as if I bought space on a bill board and someone came along and hung a promotion off of it and did not pay for it I would be pi$$ed. Especially if they were catering to the same group I was."

I like that, very true analogy.

Again, thanks to all of you that support the sponsors!

i agree...seems nothing i buy for my buell is cheap. but i still buy from our sponsors as they have EARNED my trust and loyalty. the sponsors have been OUTSTANDING in all i have done w/ my bike.
TROJAN has been the man for most of my items i have and has gone above and beyond in my opinion. his customer service is second to none. i could probubly get the same items here in the states cheaper if i searched the net hard enough but i've delt w/ TROJAN and know his honesty/loyalty to the buell community. (plus he needs to keep his new race bike running right?)i dont mind spending the extra cash knowing it help everyone involved. just part of being in the "family" i guess..
just my .02

To be honest, I was just posting the URL to help people get parts for less; I guess I should have taken the sponsors into mind... But to be fair just because someone doesn't sponsor this site and has cheaper prices doesn't mean they bad, aren't knowledgeable about what they sell or are shady... the link I posted was to a HD Dealer/parts supplier who have been very helpful to me AND saved me lots of money.

Maybe you can have something like totalmotorcycle.com where users donate to the site and get a little "proud to be gold site member" badge next to their name or avatar when they post if you need more money to host this site.

I also emailed the site that I posted asking them to check out your website and maybe consider working with you to become a sponsor.

I've said it before: The lowest price is not necessarily the indication of the best deal.

Just ask people that have tried to deal directly with Corbin, versus those that bought
a Corbin through Al at American Sport Bike and have dealt with them through him.

"But to be fair just because someone doesn't sponsor this site... doesn't mean they'er bad, aren't knowledgeable about what they sell or are shady..."
That is 100% accurate. It's just that promoting them here especially in an overtly blatant in-your-face fashion is problematic. It erodes the value of sponsorship and frankly it just doesn't seem very considerate considering all the help and advice our sponsors provide here. I could be biased though. ;)

Frankly, I don't want any more work to do with maintaining the forum than I already ignore. ;) A once a year invoice is about all I want to be saddled with in the way of revenue management responsibilities.

All I know is that Daves, Odie, Kevin at drummer, and anyother sponsor I have talked with. Are the best customer friendly, knowledgable, and honest people I have ever worked with. I try to support them as much as possible. These guys are all class acts.
They will spend all the time in the world to help you out. Then be backed up for extra hours after work to try to catch up. When you can call someone over a 5 dollar bottle of touch up paint and they are just as serious about making sure it is perfect as when they are selling you a 400 dollar pipe. Thats good to go in my book!

I prefer to save money and have top notch customer service.
I like my cake and eat it too.
These guys are by far the BEST balance of the 2!

OK im hungry now..

Thank you sincerely Jason (Sgthigg)! That's an excellent note upon which to close out this thread. I'd just add one further observation that in life there are givers and there are takers; not sure which I am. Do you know which you are?

Let's all please be excellent to each other. : )
