I got a used Muffler for a 12 to play around with for my 9R. I pinned the valve open and took her for a spin today. I really like the way it sounds, much like the home made one I have but quieter. It's just about right.

My seat o the pants o meter say way down on the bottom end. I can't pull a wheelie by goosing it in 1st now, but, man, what a rush over 5500. Way more power on top. When I shift from 1st to 2nd it pulls the tire up no problem. Plus the front tire is lifting when the tach gets over 5500 in 1st gear.

It's apparent to me the 9 could easily benefit from an exhaust like the one on the 12. To bad they didn't do the same thing on the 9 muffler as the 12 when they went to that setup on the 12. Now if I could only figure out a way to get the active valve to work on my 9. : )

I have a appointment for the dyno tomorrow. I wonder if there is any way I can do a dyno run with both mufflers to see how they compare.
