Howdy All,

Where do you mount your electronic toll pass on your Buell? I have an XB9R.

My initial plan was to mount the pass on the bottom of the muffler and simply wheelie through the toll gate. It appears this could be a problem due to the heat of the muffler...

i keep it in my jacket pocket and it always registers... I'm not sure if you were kidding about the wheelie but there is tons of oil by the gates be careful : )

If I ever get one, I figured that I would probably mount it out of sight, in the servo well of the inner air box (I have a 12 inner airbox on my 9R).

IPass/EZPass irks me at a primal level. I'm just waiting til they start issuing speeding tickets based on time/distance thru the toll gates. Grrrr.

Yea, just kidding about the wheelies. You aren't kidding about the goo that coats the pavement around tolls, though.

Midknyte, I resisted the "EZPassbigbrother" for years, so I know how you feel. I really don't enjoy being tracked by a nongovernment entity with a profit motive. Is that paranoid?

I have mine in the clear map pocket on top of my tank bag. Make sure that you ask for the EZ-Pass specifically for a motorcycle and that will work in your jacket pocket as well.

No,it's the same size but if you ever get hassled about a bad read the documentation for the unit says that it works in your jacket pocket. The other difference is that it is supposed to be used with the label side out. The car passes are label side in.

I have a 12S and mounted it behind the plastic bikini fairing, left of center (from the rider's perspective) and above the foam strip. It registers every time.

My car EZ pass never works with the bike. I think the MC ones do not need a big chunck of metal to set off a sensor, but the car ones do.

i have mine mounted behind the windscreen. Sprayed it with some black undercoating. I dont think it reads though. We have two fast lane so i just split them down the center and it never reads unless i have to go thru a gate

I use an Escort 8500 radar detector, mounted with a "Stem Stand": http://www.radarbusters.com/products...ts/default.asp
I simply put a small piece of velcro on top of the detector & stick the Easy Pass to it. Been working fine for years.

In the clear map pocket on top of the tank bag, works perfect. Throw the map pocket on the dash of the 4 wheelers and change vehicles easily.
