HI - i currently have a micron exhaust system on my 12r and am looking to also change to a K&N airfilter... so i guess i also need to either get a race ECM or use the direct link software on my stock ECM?
has anyone used either or both of these and how did they compare?
thanks
aks

At minimum you need to use the race ecm. Even with that, your bike will run lean. A direct link tuned ecm is a better solution, even though it will cost more to get done.

indy - thanks
the exhaust keeps popping in low gear... is that an indicator the engine's running lean?

you need the DL tuning for a Micron.
Those pipes flow a lot of air!
I am surprised you haven't holed a piston already running it with a stock ecm.

They have pre-programmed packages for the 12 with a Micron, filter, and American Sport Bike open airbox kit. Call Al and have your stocker programmed, or do the exchange deal. Only a couple bucks more than the race ecm and will run a LOT better. With that setup, they've dyno'd 100rwhp over here. Don't ruin that new bike...be patient and do it right.
