Can the open air box kit from American Sportbike be installed without exhaust/ECM modifications, or will this lean out the AF mixture too much? I love the look for 9SX's, but don't have the cash to do it and the exhaust this year.

I don't think you would have any problems if you don't put the K&N on, and I wouldn't think it would be to bad with the K&N either. I'm running the open airbox, K&N and a Jardine and I haven't done the ECM or directlink yet. Of course I did kill my first Jardine because of it, but who's counting?

I wouldn't go messing around with the airbox without adjusting for it with the race ECM or Direct Link the stock ECM. A lean condition can be hazardous to your engine.
