Took my 9s for a hour ride yesterday. She ran great but once she got up to temp, something happened. I would come to a stop light and go from 3rd to neutral and coast to the light. I noticed when I am slowing down, my rpm's will stay right at 2000.After I would stop, it takes 16(I counted in my head after a few times of stopping)seconds from it to slow back down to normal idle rpm. About 1100.

What is that about. I was just riding normal when this starting happening. I only put the race kit on it, no other mods.

did you have the tps reset, if so, it needs to be done again, sometimes they dont get it right the first time, i know this because it happened to me.

I agree with Pupu....either the idle is too high or the TPS needs to be reset or both of these.

This would be a good starting point to begin with....after that the symptoms may change and you will need to go from there (hopefully you won't need to).

I just had the TPS reset about a month ago by the dealer due to hard starting when warm and sometimes an unresponsive throttle when coming off the freeway.

I still had the problem...so I purchased the VDSTS software/cable set from American Sport Bike and did the TPS again...turned out the throttle was set to 0 volts as it should have been but the throttle was not fully closed. In addition, trying to set the throttle position to 5.1 volts didn't work...the throttle would not go above 4.6.

So...I did everything according to Al's instructions and it worked perfectly. She runs really good now and the hard starting is pretty much gone now.
