i'm in the process of putting a r tail on my sl....not cheap but you can find used stuff on e-bay...I got about 450.00 into now and still need to spend at least 200.00 in body parts plus i want to repaint my bike

Please provide pictures of the process and final product when you're all done. I've been contemplating this myself and am interested to see how it's done.

S to r is supposed to be far easier than r to s. There should be no problem fitting the electronics in the larger area in the tail.
those wanting to put an s front on an r have to find a place for all the electronics that are normally hidden behind the fairing on the r.

I have the R tail section on my S. It is not a low model, but the tail swap should be the same. I have pics of the entire swap if needed

are you looking to convert just the frontend to an R? or are you looking to convert the whole bike to an r?

I played with the idea of doing a full conversion on my bike w/ the top triple tree and bars and everything including the rear seat. I'd like to see a complete listing of the parts too.. if its not a huge pain in the ass maybe we could swap parts?

Yes I liked to convert the whole bike.

Got parts list from Buell dealer and cost estimate from $2,000 to $2.700 and appox. $5,000 in labor.

Yeags30, thanks! for Dave's number.

heres a good portion of what you need to do the swap....some of the stuff is not for the xb....but the front fairing, rear frame work and body panel are good...plus it looks like the support for the front fairing is there...i would keep an eye on the auction....I recently paid over 400 for a subframe and seat

Hey Qball is that the Low suspension that you bought from me? If it is I can tell any potential buyer that it has very few miles on it. I changed my suspension around the 1000 mile mark. That Low suspension that I sold Qball is in GREAT condition.

Yes it is Brad. I planned on using it for my wife, but she never gained interest. It's still in the box you sent it in. If anyone needs this set up contact me. Thanks, Max.
