does anyone know if there is a PPG code that matches 03 battle blue, as on my 03 xb9r? I want to paint fiberglass body to match fender and airbox cover. Already looked in knowledge vault. thanks for any help. Fred

if memory serves (and it may not) it's a tractor color (insert joke of your choice)

a trip to a couple of local agricultural machinery dealerships may help, if no oone comes up with the code

take a look at this:

http://www.newholland.com/h4/products/products_series_detail.asp?Reg=NA&RL=ENNA&NavID=000001277003&series=000005149711

while much of the blue on the machine is plastic (which one a reason it was chosen for Buell, I believe, as it was already available), some of the blue is clearly painted steel -- how cool to get paint for your bike from a tractor store!

Most auto paint supplers have a machine they can put on it and it reads color and they can then match it.

Even if they don't have a machine a good paint tech can mix
the color if you bring in a sample. maybe a front fender?

I guess matching it is what I will have to do. Thanks for the replies.
