I was cruising down the left lane of a 2 lane northbound highway, when I sensed something from behind. I looked in my mirrors and saw another bike coming up alongside in my lane. I didn't know the guy, but he rode right up on his old H-D and road alongside for a minute. After a minute he looked over and so did I, and I saw he had his left hand being held straight out at me. I figured he wanted to do the motorcycling thing of just touching hands and then carry on. Well unfortunately, this is technically my first bike, and I only had a couple hundred miles under my belt. I tried to reach out with one hand but I couldn't maintain speed (or stability for that matter ha-ha). He saw this and all most shit his pants and promptly pulled away in a hurry. He cut through traffic like a knife through butter to get away from me. So anyways in case that ever happens again, is there a throttle lock or something that fits the XB? |

Dunno dude, sounds gay to me. I use to hit my buddies kill switch on the highway |

Man, that is weird. I think I would have signaled "Get the -bleep- away from me" with my eyebrows or something. Or hit the brakes or throttle. I guess those universal throttle locks would fit our XB's. Seems like somebody has posted before about installing one. Good luck, Bill |

Mdm, You got that right sounds gay to me as well. Might be one of them funny boys wanting to reach out and touch someone. |

I agree sounds gay. The Vista Cruise works on our bike. You can get it through Tucker Rocky. About 20-25 bucks |

Hmmmm.... I just give them a thumbs up as I pass. Maybe he thought you were someone else?? Get a throttle lock if you want one, but for some other reason. I don't think this will happen too much. I haven't seen this before myself. All of the throttle locks I have seen just apply pressure to the throttle handgrip to keep it in place. Just make room for it between the reservoir and grip and there you go. |

It sounds like he passed you on your right. Never a good idea. |

Yeah he passed on the right. I would have had no idea what the frig he was trying to do but I was some history of motorcycling show on speed or the history channel or something. |

Sounds like a squid to me! Yeah that is kinda gay. When riding with buddies it is sometimes fun to reach out grab the tail of their bike and give it a little wiggle though! If a stranger got that close to my I would be a little irate. |

What happened to the (universal) peace sign when you pass another biker? Maybe that's a gay thing, too, "keep the rubber side down" or "two wheels on the road". If it's not another Bueller, I wave and keep riding. |

It sounded like a Brokeback Buell moment. Stay clear of harleys! |

Instead of reaching out you should've just punched the throttle. If he wanted to touch your hand he can stare at your tale light. |
