Hey guys I am getting ready to Put some sqeeze on my 9 this weekend but have one question. Can i just run a T fitting into the original fuel line and use the stock pump to get the extra fuel I need. Or am I gonna need to run an additional pump?

I think No_Rice has a nitrous kit if I remember correctly. He is running a bottle on each side of the frame just below the airbox. You might send him a PM. He posted some pics of it in the first or second arhived posts section of the Post a Pic of Your XB thread. Check it out.

hey philip. tried to email you back the other day, but it just kept telling me the email failed.

anyway. yes you could just T into it if you want to. for a BIG shot you would need an extra pump, but i will STRONGLY advise you against much more than maybe a 15 horse shot or so. trust me on this, the belt doesnt hold up to a big shot.

just remember, if you want to play hard in the end you are going to pay for it somehow. i just got my bike pieced back together a month or two ago after a belt failure leading to an accident.

I think I am just going to T into the existing line. At this point I am just going to be running a 20 shot. Plan on going allot bigger than that but I am going to do the belt first. Anyway thanks for the advise.

Hey rice what kind of additional fuel pump did you use. and how did you hook it up?

actually for a pump we had a gutted vrod sitting around the shop so i stole the pump out of it and rigged it up to accept some fittings on each end.

tapped into the base of the fuel pump. was kind of a pain

hey no_rice, when running the nitrous lines can something other than the NOS lines be used? like maybe hyd. lines or something? do they need to be teflon coated inside due to the acids in nitrous? the lines are sooo expensive for the little use they will get.(maybe not so little). but i still want the braided stainless, and will get the fittings at the speed shop. want to make my own lines instead of buying a set length.
THANKS!

your fuel pump should be able to support a total of around 115-120 hp total reliably.

I would rather run one pump than 2 myself, while it is possible to run a line off of the
fuel drain tap I would rather not have the bike lean out if the aux fuel pump failed.

an3 lines will work fine for your nitrous. I only recommend braided lines. 4mm nylon11
tubing can be used, but it is susceptible to pinching and abrasion. This is a high
pressure system we're talking about here.
