I have been asked about this a few times so I am posting general directions about how I adapted Givi luggage to fit my XB. I made it intending to redo some of it, but that was 3-4000k miles ago and everything is still groovy. I need to improve the light wiring, but I’m many projects away from that right now.

The Givi bags attach using 2 inverted V type notches on the bottom, into which a stemmed button type post fits - this prevents all movement except upper. The top latches on with the key, turn the key one way and the bags unlock turn another way and they remove for use as luggage. The outer frames with these pieces are from a friend’s wrecked Givi set. This Givi frame will accept many different sized Givi bags.

The frame assembly attaches to the bike with 1/4" fasteners, grade 8 and stainless, at least 2 per point of attachment. There are holes drilled horizontally in the rear sub frame where it seems to have them most structural strength. The forward and middle attachment points are also connected together with a 1/8" thick strip which rides the sub frame. I have probably had 15-20lbs in each bag with no problems and I think it may be a little over built.

The rear pegs still fold out but the wife has no interest.

Tubbing is 1/2” stuff from the hardware store.

The finish is Rustoleum appliance epoxy, tough/cheap/ and very tough if you bake it on – like 350 for an roughly an hour I think. The led blinkers are $3 ebay things.
