I am lookin to change to synthetic oil in the primary. How much oil does it take and can anybody give me any tips to use when doing it?? |

You can do it at your 1000 service and it takes 1 quart. Drain it all out while on the jiffy stand, but fill it up with a 2x4 under the jiffy stand. It will make the bike "close" to level...so be careful. The owners manual has a great description of how to change this fluid. Drake |

Get it nice and hot-drain it and use 1 quart- I use mobil 1 syn 75-90 gear oil. Check the chain while your at it. |

Don't be surprised by the foul smell of the Mobil 1 gear oil. I stopped using it because it was stinking me out of the garage when I changed the oil. |
