Ready to change the Trasmission/Primary Chain Lubrication and would like to understand what are the best lubes to use for refill. The bike has 7000 miles and has been serviced three times with the owner manual specified HD Sport-Trans Fluid 99896-88. Any other improved fluids available. Shifts fine now, sometimes I do not hit neutral on first try but likely from heavy foot.

Thanks

I use 75-90w syntheteic gear oil in my 9S. Don't remember the brand but a lot of people here use Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil.

You should really try out the synthetic oils, and make sure your chain is in spec. That could be why its hard to find neutral.

Thanks

I will start reviewing the service manual to check primary chain play before loading in the synthetic fluid.

Thanks again
