My 04 12s has 4000 miles on it. Ive used the harley oil the whole time and was wondering if i should change to amsoil or something? Any input is appreciated.

Most motorcycle specific synthetics and some non-specific synthetics will do just fine.
Do a search in the Knowledge vault on this subject. It has been discussed at length repeatedly.

i run ams oil in my race bike. but sport trans in the tranmission

M1 15W-50 or Red Line 20W-50 are both great oils.
