Hello BWB'rs,

As a Newbie, I figured I'd better work on getting some skills to match my bikes abilities. I'm renting their bikes this time(I'd hate to drop it on the track, Mr. Darkhorse: u will hear from me soon!). Anyone else attending?

Be careful your bike isn't too loud. This may sound funny but, last year the owner of Santa Barbara's Ducati shop was kicked off the track because of his modified exhaust. The Laguna Seca raceway has noise restrictions placed on it all but a dozen or so times a year (usually reserved for Grand-Am, Moto GP, & classic auto races) Bring your stock can just in case...FYI

I believe he said he was renting their bike...so he doesn't have to worry about the exhaust note.

Congrats, welcome to Badweb.

Track school is one of the best and most cost effective ways to make you and your bike faster.
As an added benefit it'll make you a safer rider too. Go there with an open mind, and be prepared
to have some misconceptions corrected. Listen carefully to the instructors and the on-track
instructors and don't let ego cheat you out of a lesson. I have never met you and this is not
a personal thing, just a general observation based on things I have seen, and been guilty of.

Good luck, and enjoy!

I have done quite a few Track Days at Willow Springs and I got to say you will never go as fast on the street again lol.

Thanks for the welcome and for the advice. I'm blown away by the passion that the BWB'rs have. It's contagious! "Excellence by definition is a deviance from the norm." Erik and Y'all are definitely a bunch of DEVIANTS!
